Place matters when it comes to the creative industries. This invitation-only event will celebrate the region’s creative offer and an expert panel will explore how we can maximise the value of this sector, to increase its impact across all parts of the region’s culture and economy.

Keynote speakers include:

Nicola Mendelsohn, CBE: Chair of the Creative Industries Council and Vice President of Facebook Europe, Middle East & Africa will launch the national ‘Creative Industries Toolkit’

Andy Street, CBE: Mayor for the West Midlands will set out his vision for creative and technology industries across the region

John Newbigin, OBE, CIC Chair, Regions & Clusters, Chair, Creative England will chair a panel discussion between experts from the industry

Panellists include:

Joe Godwin: Director of BBC Birmingham & BBC Academy

Stephen Root: Vice President, Development Creative Services, Codemasters

Anita Bhalla, OBE: Chair, Performances Birmingham

Rosy Greenlees, OBE: Executive Director, Crafts Council

Debbie Isitt: Writer and Film Director
