Ones To Watch 2021
CrowdCrowd

Business thrives on building relationships with their customers. So when lockdown started, real events and conferences were stopped and canceled overnight.

This meant that many businesses who felt most comfortable with face-to-face meetings had to try and switch to virtual events and techniques almost overnight in order to survive - and many had little or no experience of virtual events prior to lockdown, and felt their lack of technical knowledge was affecting their ability to connect with customers and audiences.

To meet this need, Crowd developed a new digital platform from the ground-up. GoDigitalExpo was designed to enable talks to multiple delegates, host interactive Q & A’s, provide easy-to-book one-to-one meetings, and allow bespoke design so that brands could tailor the platform to reflect their own brand.

Being a global agency, and one dedicated to exporting British creativity and ideas, Crowd decided to test the new platform by running and hosting an event aimed at British Businesses. ‘Exporting Excellence’ gained backing by the Britain Is Great Campaign, the DIT, and London & Partners. The 3 day event brought together exporting champions to tell their stories, talks from industry experts, and provide one-to-one meetings. The USP of the event was that each delegate would leave with a workable export plan.

Crowd’s first event was a huge success, with great feedback from both speakers and attendees. This then led to our next event for Legal Services is Great. Unable to fly to an overseas conference in Africa, the UK representatives were able to connect with African businesses to sell the benefits of using UK law talent in a seamless, and simple way that reflected their brand.

Both events were a huge success, and allowed businesses to communicate virtually while building a real relationship. By not having the technical obstacles of other virtual event platforms, GoDigitalExpo proved itself to be the missing product in an incredibly important new sector.

The platform itself has also meant that we have a new stream of revenue for the business and has helped the business recover from the negative effects of the pandemic and having a travel sector focused client base. We are able to not only service our current clients but win new ones with our innovative technology. We are now not only using it to help British companies export more but also now winning clients globally due to our innovation and service levels.

Looking towards the future, the outlook for Go DigitalExpo is incredibly bright....

As an ambassador for UK creativity, being seen as a CIC CreaTech One to Watch 2021 would enable us to prove our own commitment to producing exceptional work, and provide us with even greater authority as a global spokesperson for the UK. The award would not only boost our own potential to secure new business, but would help open the door for other UK agencies looking to export their creativity. By having the recognition of the CCI we would use our platforms to express the importance of the award, and how it improves a companies standing around the world.
