immersive tech funding directory launched

The technology bodies, Immerse UK and the KTN, have created a new funding directory to help UK immersive tech businesses source funding and investment to suit their needs, product life-cycle and company stages.

Developed by Immerse UK's Access to Funding and Finance Working Group, the directory includes public funding and private capital sources and will be regularly updated to keep you up-to-date with the latest investment opportunities.

The public funding section of the directory includes categories such as UK and European funding. The private capital lists different types of private funders such as angel investors, accelerators, corporate venture capital funds and corporate venture funds.

ImmerseUK brings together industry, researchers and research organisations, the public sector, entrepreneurs, innovators and end users to support the UK in becoming the global leader in applications of immersive technologies: high-end visualisation, virtual, mixed, and augmented reality, haptics and other sensory interfaces with data.

The group is building a rolling programme of work, developed with members and the IET, which addresses the pressing issues that slow down R&D and identifies the opportunities for growth and collaboration in the emerging marketplace.

Immerse members include Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Imagination, the BBC and Holovis.
