ABOUT CITIB

The Creative Industries Trade & Investment Board (CITIB) was created in 2018 to promote UK creative industry exports and inward investment. It includes representatives from all parts of the creative industries as well as government.

In December 2025 the Department for Business and Trade appointed the current CITIB chairs, Michael Frohlich, CMO at WPP, and Francesca Hegyi, Chief Executive of Edinburgh International Festival. They will work together to facilitate collaboration between the public and private sectors and ensure the creative industries contribute effectively to the UK economy.

CITIB International Strategy

An ambitious strategy, 'Putting the UK Creative Industries Centre Stage', was launched in December 2022 to grow UK creative industries exports and to protect and increase inward investment in UK creative organisations. It aims to raise UK creative industries exports to £78bn by 2030. You can also read case studies here.
